This weekend I was at the Breede River mouth with Leonard Flemming. On Saturday morning while walking across some shallow water, Leonard spotted and caught (with his hands) what we suspect is a juvenile flying fish.

We placed it in a shallow depression filled with water to photograph it and then released it afterwards. A really beautiful little fish! It reminded me of the cover of your book ‘Shadows on the Stream Bed’!
