THE NERA RIVER IN ITALY – A PHOTO ESSAY FROM TOM LEWIN
I got back from my trip to Italy last week and I have to say that my wife, Nikki, and I had the most wonderful time imaginable. We drove down from Florence through Tuscany and on to Umbria and then ended up on the Amalfi coast at Capri in an enchanting, thousand year old castle town called Ravello. Our time in Umbria coincided with the Royal Wedding, which my wife was determined to watch - come hell or high water. Anticipating that this would happen, I had planned a day's fishing on a beautiful chalkstream called the Nera. Here are some pictures of the river and its stunning brown trout from that day.
