These stamp issues are now highly collectable and were sent on to me by my friend Ritchie Morris, who asked that I sell them to the highest bidder and that the proceeds be donated by the buyer to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital Trust.

Of interest in the envelope dated 1981, the second in this stamp series, an angler is depicted fishing a stream. I was able to tell Ritchie that the angler depicted is none other than the late John Beams, one of the foremost South African anglers of his time and a person many fly fishers will remember well. The painting was done by AH Bartlett from a photograph taken in the early sixties by Tom Burgers of Cape Town.
Anyone interested in acquiring either of both of these envelopes should send a bid by email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
